MIAMI, FL – Jan. 22, 2025 – Caldera Law, a full-service boutique law firm based in Miami’s Little River and recognized for its client-focused, common-sense approach, has announced the addition of five attorneys, including Courtney Caprio as a partner, as part of its strategic growth plan. The expansion further strengthens the firm’s comprehensive capabilities across multiple practice areas while maintaining its commitment to personalized, high-quality legal services.
Caprio, a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in civil rights, defamation, corporate disputes, fraud, First Amendment, and intellectual property cases, brings a dynamic approach to Caldera Law. Recognized by The National Law Journal as one of fifteen Elite Women of the Plaintiffs’ Bar nationwide in 2024, she led an almost all-female litigation team to secure a $63.5 million federal civil rights jury verdict, including $47.6 million in punitive damages, in the high-profile Joe Carollo trial. In another recent notable matter, she achieved an $8.5 million verdict in a federal trademark infringement jury trial by uncovering crucial testimony to establish the “willfulness” element. These successes underscore her expertise to succeed in high-stakes litigation.
“Courtney’s proven track record of winning complex cases and her skilled advocacy for clients facing high-stakes legal challenges makes her an outstanding addition to our team,” said Ben Wolkov, managing partner of Caldera Law. “Her hands-on approach to client service and her collaborative leadership style embody our firm’s culture, where exceptional results come from teamwork and an unwavering commitment to our clients.”
Also joining the firm are Chad Klitzman, Joanna Niworowski, Geraldine Orlando, and Amanda Suarez, each bringing unique skills and expertise:
“Our multidisciplinary legal team handles everything from high-stakes litigation to complex transactions,” Wolkov added. “Our team builds deep, trusted relationships with clients, delivering pragmatic, business-minded solutions that prioritize their goals without overcomplicating matters. These new additions further enhance our ability to meet those high standards.”
The firm’s emphasis on diversity, family-friendly policies, and collaborative leadership continues to attract and retain top legal talent.
“We are intentionally building a firm where attorneys can thrive both professionally and personally, fostering an environment that supports success in every aspect of their lives,” Wolkov said.
With these strategic additions, Caldera Law is well-positioned to continue delivering exceptional service and innovative legal solutions to its clients throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe. The firm represents entrepreneurs, corporate executives, real estate developers, athletes, acclaimed chefs, restaurateurs, entertainers, and professionals across various industries.
